Of utmost importance to Richard was to bring the qualities and founding values he developed with Hair with Flair to the salon experience at Parrot Studio. Ensuring that every client finds their very best self and their own individual style and cut, no matter how long it may take. Parrot Studio is a home away from home, welcoming all, whether you want to be ahead of the trend with a cutting edge colour and style or just fancy a trim. Sammy Gormley is our senior stylist, she originally trained in a leading renowned salon in Reading before joining Parrot Studio, or Paparazzi as it was known under the salons previous management. Sammy has worked as a hairdresser for 13 years and her compelling charisma, style and creativity ensures she has developed an extremely successful career and popularity with clients.

The Salon
Parrot Studio was founded by Richard Bott in 2012 at his home. Richard started his career in hairdressing as an apprentice with a leading hair salon at the age of 17. After achieving his qualification at 20 he soon found he was becoming disillusioned with the conveyer belt feel of the salon and decided to start up as a mobile hairdresser in his home town of Reading trading as Hair with Flair.
The captivating combination of Richard’s determination, creativity, skill and ability to understand and listen to each client’s individual needs, style and uniqueness ensured his business was an overwhelming success. After 12 years of working as a mobile hairdresser, whilst continuing his training and professional development, his client base soared, enabling him to set up a salon at home with the aim to create a safe, private environment, Parrot Studio was born. After 3 years of tempting his mobile clients to the comfort and luxury of the salon experience it was time to expand and in March 2015 Richard took over an existing salon and a few months later with the refurbishment and name change Parrot Studio Woodley opened it’s doors.
